The simple phrase “To Contribute to Health and Beauty of People around the World” transcends many fields.
Most importantly, from the standpoint of preventative medicine and anti-aging, we keep tabs on the fields of lifestyle-related disease, aging, and beauty.
Until a few decades ago, medicine had fought with infectious diseases. However, disease patterns changed significantly along with the advancement of society. Currently, modern diseases such as those that cause stress and allergies, lifestyle-related diseases due to obesity, and diseases that occur with age such as joint disease and sarcopenia have become enormous challenges. In recent years, unknown viruses have run rampant around the world, once again turning our attention toward the revitalization of foods that have immunity functions.
In order to meet these societal needs, we are collecting data via a global-scale network and moving forward with research and development that applies the two strengths “activation” and “inhibition” found in the natural resources that are widely present.
In addition, we are putting extensive effort into assessing the various bioactive functions of plant-derived components existing around the world—which represent the power of nature—from multiple angles. Utilizing accumulated functionality assessment methods, we ultimately verify the ascertained functions through clinical tests.
Moreover, we have been proactively collecting data from specialized institutions and conducting research jointly with numerous university and research institutions, not only in Japan but globally, mutually sharing data about highly-specialized knowledge and special test methods. We post obtained results on papers and make presentations about such results at conferences and industry tradeshows worldwide.
We are always striving for the state‐of‐the‐art technology in order to meet health and beauty needs, which change over time.
