Problem to be solved: To provide a safe food composition, medical and pharmaceutical composition, and/or cosmetic composition with excellent skin-beautifying effects, which is also derived from a natural edible plant and can be ingested for a long period of time without side effects.
Solution: The composition for skin improvement designed to solve the above problem contains a solvent extract of yuzu (Citrus junos) seeds. The solvent extract described above is preferably obtained by extracting the fruit or seeds of yuzu using a solvent comprising one or two or more of n-hexane, ether, acetone, ethyl acetate, methanol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, butanol, 1,3-butylene glycol, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerol, and water, or by supercritical extraction with carbon dioxide gas, and preferably by a hydrous ethanol extract with an ethanol concentration of 10 to 90% (wt/wt).
